Interior Painting Questions & Answers

The thought of undertaking a brand new paint job for your home can be daunting. Not only do the walls need to be washed but they probably need a few touch ups and sanding to make them really look brand new. Adding a splash of colour can transform your home into a masterpiece.

Goodnest painters are reliable, trustworthy and affordable. We’ve been doing this a while so from experience and based on 100’s of jobs, we’ve created a price list of various painting jobs so you know what to expect when hiring a painter.

How much do painting repairs & services cost?

Depending on the size of your house a brand new interior paint job can start to get expensive. We’re here to make sure you get the best bang for your buck. Below we’ve put together a comprehensive list of services and estimated pricing on each plumbing service. Please note, these prices should only be used as a guide and quotes will vary based on the actual painting requirements and individual work performed.

Pricing estimates:

  • 1 room: $400 - $1000
  • 2 rooms: $600 - $1500
  • 3 rooms: $900 - $2500
  • Whole house - 2 bedrooms: $2000 - $3000
  • Whole house - 3 bedrooms: $2500 - $5000
  • Whole house - 5 bedrooms: $4000 - $6000
  • Ceilings: $500 - $3000

This will depend on a variety of factors.

  • Labour charge - Most painters will give you a fixed price for a whole job including materials unless you prefer to supply your own.
  • Parts and materials - if the painter has the materials in their van, or if they need to pick up some extra items from a painting store, you will be charged for what's required. There could be a markup as well.
  • Travel cost (this may be included in the labour charge) - if the painter charges travel costs, this is usually included in your quote before work commences.
  • GST - the total of 1, 2, 3 and above will be added, and GST (15%) charged on the total.

Most painters accept a range of payment methods, including:

  • Direct debit (Internet Banking)
  • Cheque
  • Cash with Invoice
