Junk can slowly build up over time and you may just not have space in your weekly rubbish service for it to be picked up. Whether it’s construction junk, leftover furniture from tenant’s, a clear out of the home while spring cleaning or maybe you’ve decided minimalist living is for you. Either way if you don’t have a ute, truck or tow bar getting rid of unwanted junk can be a real hassle..
We’ve been matching customers to professionals for a while now, so based on the thousands of jobs we’ve sorted for our customers, we’ve created a pricing list and what to expect when hiring a junk removal professional.
Please note: These prices should only be used as a guide and quotes will vary based on the situation and individual work performed.
The average hourly rate for contractors removing rubbish in Australia is $25-50. Or $73-$79 pm/3 of junk.
This will depend on a variety of factors:
Tip fees and materials - You will be charged for any fees to dump junk at the local dump, also if the contractor needs special equipment for your job such as a trailer, you may be charged for what's needed. It’s best to discuss this with your pro before the job goes ahead.
Travel cost (this can be factored into the labour charge) - if the professional charges travel costs, this is usually charged from the time the professional leaves for your home, to when they arrive back at their base after the job.
GST (if any) - the total of 1, 2 will be added, and GST (15%) added.
If your job needs to be completed outside of regular operating hours (7am-5pm) you will likely incur an extra charge or a higher hourly rate.
